Deadline: January 31, 2021
Registration for AIDS 2022, the 24th International AIDS Conference, is now open. For the first time, the world’s largest conference on HIV and AIDS will be hosted in-person in Montreal, Canada, as well as virtually, to make it accessible to as many people as possible.
AIDS 2022 will take place from 29 July to 2 August 2022, with pre-conference meetings beginning on 27 July 2022.
AIDS 2022 will call on the world to come together to re-engage and follow science. It will define future research agendas, shift the latest evidence to action, and chart a new consensus on overcoming the HIV epidemic as a threat to public health and individual well-being.
Four decades of responding to HIV have shown that our greatest victories happen when scientists, policymakers and activists come together. The AIDS 2022 Scholarship Programme provides financial assistance to eligible applicants around the world to attend AIDS 2022 either in person, in Montreal, Canada, or virtually.
The programme supports individuals who contribute to the conference programme, as well as applicants who can demonstrate that they will transfer the skills and knowledge acquired at the conference to the work they undertake in their own organizations and communities.
Eligibility
The Scholarship Programme is open to anyone working or volunteering in the field of HIV and who is at least 16 years old on 27 July 2022. Priority will be given to:
- Abstract presenters, workshop facilitators and organizers of Global Village and Youth Programme activities whose submission has been selected for the conference
- Applicants from lower-income countries
- Applicants who belong to key populations and people living with HIV
- Young people and junior investigators below the age of 35
- Applicants who did not previously receive a scholarship for an International AIDS Conference
Benefits
Applicants can choose whether to attend the conference in person or virtually.
